Su alcuni giornali in questi giorni si parlava dei Mondiali di calcio in 3D (non in Italia comunque). Eurosport lo sperimenta qualche settimana prima con il Roland Garros.
"3D Experience Day" in Italia: 28 Maggio a Milano
Panasonic has launched a pan-European cross-media campaign on Eurosport to promote the first ever 3D TV experience via multiday live 3D transmission of Roland Garros-French Open to more than 3,000 selected retail outlets across Europe*, following a pioneering partnership announced in April.
The campaign features a series of TV spots and infomercials up to and during the French Open (May 24-June 6), and is supported with an online campaign, both of which will showcase Panasonic 3D technology and drive consumers to selected stores to experience all centre court matches of the French Open live in a spectacular 3D format.
The campaign clearly demonstrates Eurosport's unique ability to provide our partners with powerful integrated communications solutions. Eurosport's full-service solution for Panasonic includes:
- Prestigious live tennis content from Roland Garros - French Open distributed across Europe (excluding France)
- The technological means to provide live 3D transmission in point of sales outlets
- A pan-European multimedia communication platform leveraging the partnership
- Local activation, including a promotional and PR campaign
"Eurosport has retained the loyalty of a global partner by providing a tailor-made communication solution. This 3D partnership builds on the excellent relationship established between Eurosport and Panasonic with the launch of the Eurosport HD channel in 2008," says Olivier Fisch, Eurosport's Global Commercial Director. "Eurosport has once again shown it can deliver effective integrated communication solutions on a pan-European basis. We are delighted to work with Panasonic on this pioneering 3D project which clearly position Eurosport at the forefront of creative and innovative solutions".
Thanks to partnerships with satellite operators EUTELSAT and ASTRA, Eurosport is providing Panasonic with a satellite feed to show all matches from centre court, including men's and women's semi-finals and finals, in 3D during a 14-day period. It is the first time live 3D broadcast will be available for the entire duration of a multi-day sporting event in Europe.
Eurosport's 3D broadcast will be shown on Panasonic TX-P50VT20 3D plasma TV screens, allowing consumers across Europe to see Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer as they have never seen them before.
* Across 28 European countries excluding France.
